Where can I find information on our economy?

I have an assignment for my economics class that is as follows-

1. Write at least three paragraphs which address the following issues for your country:

?GDP

?CPI

?unemployment rate

?current trend (inflation, recession, other)

?future predictions

Where can I find this information? I%26#039;m especially having trouble finding the current trend, nobody seems to agree on it right now...

Historical data up to third quarter 07 can be found at

They also allow you to draw chart for a time period of your choice, for more recent data on CPI and unemployment you need to look for press releases from the BLS. There is nothing more recent on GDP.

The reason people do not agree about the future is because no one has a clue, so you can just pick one you like and use it. You can%26#039;t be wrong.
