Where do republicans get the idea that democrats/liberals don't work?

With the unemployment rate at about 4.6% and the democratic party being approximately half of voting age people in the U.S., does it make any sense at all to believe democrats/liberals don%26#039;t work?

There are as many conservatives as liberals that don%26#039;t work. There are as many hard-working wealthy liberals as there are hard-working wealthy conservatives.

This nonsense about people wanting entitlements from their government applies to those of both political persuasions.

The U.S.A. is at that perilous stage in its history. Lobbyists and big business accept all the corporate welfare they can garner. Senior citizens hold power over any politician who even dares to tamper with their Social Security. Hundreds of billions of dollars in government grants, give aways and tax incentives are distributed every year. Politicians keep their cushy jobs on Capital Hill by bringing home the bacon in the form of %26#039;pork%26#039; and %26#039;earmarks%26#039;. Citizens sign up for all the government entitlements whether they%26#039;re truly in need or not. It%26#039;s a bonanza....at federal lottery where everybody wins without working. Republicans and Democrats alike are to blame for such squander. And the squalor continues. Alexander Tyler was correct. I guess they cannot preform simple math equations|||just b/c half the people are Dems you say means nothing to whether it works or not. If I am not mistaken many others have tried to be further to the left and in those countrys you have more issues. and if you have not noticied the more liberal this country becomes the more issues we have. sure some issues seem to dissappear b/c to liberals they got rid of the problem but in reality all they did was change the law so that it was not considered a problem anymore it does not mean that the problem got solved.

Also dems/libs like government to play a major part in our lives helping us even agianst ourselves however what has government really ever done for us that has not taken away freedoms from us. also everyone has complained about the govt once in their life, so why would you want the govt to run more areas of your life.

Personally i want to be able to live life my own way, without being told that I must pay my earned income so that lazy people can live on welfare and not have to work, by the way I do not mean that all on welfare are lazy, but those that take advantage of the system should not be allowed. I prefer to give to the charity of my choosing every year not to the one that the govt calls welfare.

On top of that no one in government ever agrees on anything so it is always compromised one way or the other to get enough votes but that does not mean that one way or the other was not the correct way to go. And if they are willing to compromise then why are we listening to them in the first place since they dont believe enough in their own ideas to stick up for them, they compromise to look good in the eyes of the public and so they can maybe get reelected|||The biggest lie among neocons is that the liberals are a class of entitlement freaks. The fact is that many of us are quite wealthy taxpayers. Their allegations make for cheap rallying against us though. Just consider the fact that most Jews vote Democrat, even post-Reagan, while representing the most educated ethnic group per capita in the nation, and often among the most successful.
