They not only changed the National Anthem to Spanish, they changed the words. They already burn our flag and hang our flag upside down. They waved the Mexican flag during a lot of their protests. Some schools have stopped hanging the American flag and forbidden students from wearing clothes with any part of the American flag on their clothing all to keep from offending the Mexicans. I am tired of the stereotype that Americans wouldn%26#039;t do the work that illegals do. Illegals do all kinds of jobs for less than minimum wage which drives the wages down for U.S. citizens. Construction jobs are an example. There are lots of illegals doing construction jobs that Americans used to do because the companies can keep more of the profits if they pay less for the workers. All that does is make companies wealthier and Americans poorer. Illegals are stealing jobs that Americans have done for years.

But to make absurd laws that make innocent people guilty then that makes the people who created them unlawful. There are so many laws that should not be in effect. Give me a break! You think it is okay that they steal SSNs? When they do that, they do severe damage financially to the victims whose SSNs they steal!! They screw people badly in this way! Why do you and the other illegal immigrants not know how bad this is to do to people?? As well, I%26#039;ve read on this forum many times that illegals also often claim so many dependents that they don%26#039;t hardly get any taxes taken out of their paycheques with the stolen SSNs. So, no, they don%26#039;t pay their fair share of taxes, no way! No where near what they consume in education costs, medical costs, welfare (yes, they also collect welfare with their stolen SSNs), and the costs they incur when they drive without licenses or insurance and cause accidents which, in turn, causes everyone else%26#039;s insurance premiums to go up to cover the costs.

The reason why so many people are concerned with this (including legal Mexican Americans, Polish, Arab, Asians etc) is that these illegals are refusing to assimilate into the culture of speaking English and making someone pay them what they are worth.

Look at this way..when employers see that they have someone who is not legal but wants a job as a construction worker (example) they offer them a job for far less than what they would pay a citizen. IF the average contruction worker is making $34.00 an hour and an illegal immigrant wants to do the job for $6.50 what is going to stop the employer from hiring more illegal immigrants. The employer is saving thousands of dollars a year because they don%26#039;t have to pay out in benefits. That%26#039;s money in their pocket.

Why do you think these big companies like FORD and CINGULAR are laying off their workers and going to countries like Mexico and India? Because the labor is cheap and they can get away with paying people $3.00 a day.

When you become a legal citizen you have rights under the federal law that protects you against unfair wages, and you are able to take advantage of the many benefits that are being handed out by the federal government.

American workers want jobs that can Earn them a DECENT LIVING IN THIS COUNTRY. Minimum wage is a fortune south of the border, but it doesn%26#039;t go far here.|||Our education has dropped dramatically in border states due to need for bilingual education which costs a ton the schools don%26#039;t have and slows the entire class down. That is a serious answer.

This is not only due to illegal immigrants any more than illegal immigrants are the only ones who use welfare. However, legal residents and citizens are the ones we pay into welfare for, we don%26#039;t want to pay more to cover people who are illegally here. Similarly, we would give language help to people legally here, but it is one of the most expensive and disruptive issues in education, and we need to limit it to the amount we can manage. That amount is limited by our immigration laws. Our laws don%26#039;t make it %26#039;difficult%26#039; to get in, they flat out say we can only take so many at a time, and you have to stand in line.

I am for legalizing current qualifying illegal immigrants because I feel sorry for their situation, and do kind of think switching gears on the ones who have been here so long is tough. (Although I also think the government should ALWAYS have enforced its laws.)

However, illegal immigration is HUGELY expensive, and once you are on the paying side instead of the benefiting side, you will see that for yourself.
