Everyone wants what you want, so I would suggest that you start with an area where the climate is closer to where you came from. You will adapt easier. Likely the people around you will enjoy a lot of the same things you do so that you can make new friends with similar interests.

As to finding a job, the American people are quickly losing their jobs because the government has allowed everything to be exported - including their jobs. You are obviously educated, so look for an area with similar occupations available. You obviously are computer literate, so look in the newspapers online. You don%26#039;t need guidance in that area.

The most important thing that you can do to help yourself is to spread the word that you are a legal immigrant (if this is true) so that people can appreciate someone taking the legal steps that we are asking all immigrants to do.

If you know of any illegal immigrants, you need to report them if you are indeed trying to become a US citizen. You will be respected in the US for this. Illegal aliens give legal immigrants a bad name.

good schools though i hear|||Not California. It has one item that immigrants like. We have a lot of immigrant community that a new immigrant can hide. Most of Californias rent is high, and we do have a lot of low income jobs available. I suggest you first start looking where your fellow country men immigrated too. Its a lot easier to find food and friends. I did hear good things about minnesota though.|||kind people are everywhere. just be nice and they will be nice back. as my sister says, god don%26#039;t like ugly. every state here is livable.|||Land is cheap in Siberia!
